IDA F. DAVIS
CORINNA – Ida F. Davis, 86, died August 15, 2003 at a Bangor Healthcare facility after a long illness. She was born July 31, 1917 at Millinocket a daughter of Rufus and Margaret (Crandall) Campbell. Ida graduated from Stearns High School and attended Husson College. She worked at the Stewart Free Library for many years.She was a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church, the Corinna American Legion Post # 73, and the Nokomis Chapter # 42 Order of The Eastern Star. Ida was an avid golfer for many years. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Davis of Bangor; two sons and daughters in law, Robert and Donna Davis of Corinna, Andrew and Brenda Davis of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Erika Illingworth of Hyde Park, MA, Mark Illingworth of Portland, Stuart Davis and wife Jennifer of Mansfield, MA; three sisters, Geneva Hangsterfer of Pennsylvania, Margaret Evers of Millinocket, and Ruth Campbell of Ocala, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Ida is also survived by two very caring and devoted friends, John and Alice Bird of Corinna. Ida was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1995, a sister Lucille Taylor, a brother, Edward Campbell, and a beloved grandson, Brad Allen Davis.

Friends may call from 5-7 P.M. Sunday, August 17th,at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Monday, August 18th, at the Corinna United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery at 2 PM Monday.
