Irma (Spaulding) Knowles
NEWPORT – Irma (Spaulding) Knowles, 93, died April 23, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 28, 1919 in Dexter, a daughter of Marshall and Hazel (Hewitt) Spaulding, Sr.

She was employed at H. C. Baxter Company in Hartland and the Edwards Company in Pittsfield. She then did housekeeping in Florida and along the Maine coast.

She is survived by a son Ramon and wife Sharon Knowles of Palmyra; 3 brothers, Marshall Spaulding of Topsham, Aubrey Spaulding of Bow, NH, and Harlan Spaulding of Dover-Foxcroft; and a sister, Charlene Page of Dexter; a grand-daughter Sharon Plourde; a step grandson, Franklin and wife Kelly Maker; a step grand-daughter, Wendy and husband Tom Dolly; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Paula Cyr.

Irma was predeceased by her husband Delbert, 2 sisters, Beverly Gallison and Maxine Cole, and a brother Merle.

Graveside committal services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 1st, at Pittsfield Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 51 U. S. Route 1; Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
