Irvin J. Devoe
CORINNA—Irvin J. Devoe, 72, died peacefully December 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 19, 1940 in Presque Isle, a son of Clarence and Velma (Tompkins) Devoe. He had been employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and Seaman’s Rugs in Dexter. Irvin was a member of the Detroit Apostolic Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of Corinna; 2 daughters, Irene and husband Rev. Glenn Wittmeier of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Donna and husband Dana Peirce of Glenburn; 2 brothers, Clarence Devoe and Donald Devoe, both of Presque Isle; a sister, Hazel Case of Perham; 4 grandchildren, Tonia, Joshua, Dana, Jr. “D.J.” and Alexander; 1 great granddaughter, Ella; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Burton Devoe; and 3 sisters, Helen Downs, Geneva Devoe, and Inez McIntyre.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, January 3rd, at the Detroit Apostolic Fellowship, 19 Main Street, Detroit, where funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday with the Rev. Rosendo Longoria officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, Corinna.

Spring burial will be in the Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
