James E. "Bud" Nichols Bud owned and operated James E. Nichols & Sons Trucking Company. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church in Dexter and will be remembered for his storytelling. He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Dexter; 2 sons and their wives, Douglas and LaDonna Nichols of Dexter and James E. and Cindy Nichols of Ripley; a daughter, Anne and husband Neil Clukey of Dexter; a sister Vesta and husband Ronald Porter of Hermon; 5 step children; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many special friends. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, October 20th at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Jay Brennan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 573, Dexter, ME 04930. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
