James E. "Bud" Nichols
DEXTER—James E. “Bud” Nichols, 83, died October 13, 2012 at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 21, 1929 in Monticello, a son of Paul and Vera (Hutchinson) Nichols. He graduated from Ricker Classical Institute, Class of 1948.

Bud owned and operated James E. Nichols & Sons Trucking Company. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church in Dexter and will be remembered for his storytelling.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Dexter; 2 sons and their wives, Douglas and LaDonna Nichols of Dexter and James E. and Cindy Nichols of Ripley; a daughter, Anne and husband Neil Clukey of Dexter; a sister Vesta and husband Ronald Porter of Hermon; 5 step children; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

There will be no visiting hours. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, October 20th at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Jay Brennan officiating.
