JANICE T. MARSH
DOVER-FOXCROFT and HERMON, Janice T. Marsh, 70, wife of the late Edward H. Marsh Sr., died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at her residence in Hermon. She was born April 16, 1935, in Guilford, the daughter of Richard and Madeline (Small) Tucker, stepdaughter of Wilford Smith. Janice attended local schools and later graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic Nursing School in Berwick, ME. In her early years as a Registered Nurse she worked as a Scrub Nurse in the Brain Surgery Unit at the Layhee Clinic in Boston, MA. She continued a lifelong career in nursing and retired from Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft in 1999 after working as a Registered Nurse there for 24 years. Janice enjoyed reading, visiting with her best friend, Lorraine Cox, of Newton, MA. and, most of all, being with her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Edward H. Marsh Sr. in April 2000.

She is survived by a son, Edward H. Marsh Jr. and his wife Debbie of Hermon; 2 daughters, Stacy Boss and her husband, Steven, of Hampden, and Laura Tomilo and her husband, Andrew, of East Concord, New York; five very special grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, and Zachary Boss and Lindsey and Alexander Marsh. She will also be remembered by many extended family members and lifelong friends who were very important to her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15 at 5:00 PM, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street in Guilford, with the Rev. Dr. Alec Craig officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
