OBITUARIES

JEAN H. ELLMS
RIPLEY- Jean H. "Aunt Jean" Ellms, 96, died February 10, 2011, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born June 1, 1914, in Ernest, PA, daughter of Phillip and Janet (Hamilton) Pugh.

Jean married Edward H. Ellms in 1949, and worked for many years for Allied Chemical in New York, NY. After retirement, she and her husband returned to Ripley to the farm that their family has owned since 1902.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1990; a dear sister, Elizabeth Ann Smith in 2010; 2 step-daughters, Virginia Osterhus, and Barbara "Bobbie" Dover.

She is survived by a; 2 nieces, Virginia Ellms of Ripley and Maxine Noyes of Newfields, NH; several great nieces and nephews; a step daughter, Shirley Hatch; very good friends, Stan and Linda Dulac.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter with Pastor Stephen Dean, and her niece Kimberly Ellms officiating. Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.

Graveside services for Jean H. “Aunt Jean” Ellms, 96, who died February 10, 2011, will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
