Joan B. Tilton
She had been employed at Edward’s Company in Pittsfield and at Hannaford Brothers in Skowhegan, where she was a cake decorator. Joan currently co-owned and operated Personal Touch Car Care in Palmyra with her husband. She was a loving woman with a very big heart and always was the first one to help someone in need. She was a hard worker and put her heart and soul into everything she did. Joan was very forgiving and believed in today. Her loves included spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her other passion was Hollywood Slots. She loved the thrill and had her own special machine that barely ever let her down.
She is survived by her mother, Louise Bailey of Crowley, Louisiana; her husband Doug Tilton of Palmyra; 1 daughter, Beth Tilton and companion Ken Boucher of Belgrade; 3 brothers and their wives, Raymond and wife Florence Bailey, Donald and wife Anna Bailey, Robert and wife Paula Bailey, all of Cambridge; a sister, Barbara Lengefeld of Crowley, LA; 2 brothers in law, Gary Tilton of CT and Perry Booth of Hartland; 2 grandchildren, Peter and wife Alicia Curtis and Nicole and husband Aaron Demchak; 2 great grandchildren, Kaylee and Madison Demchak; and friends Brett and April Patten. The family would like to thank Elmwood Primary Care, especially Donna Bilodeau, FNP.
She was predeceased by her father, Clair Bailey; her in laws, Linwood Tilton and Grace Booth; brother in law, Dennis Tilton, and sister in law, Kathy (Booth) Chandler; and her beloved cat Cuddles.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, January 28th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Pastor Brian Woodbury officiating. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in the Powers Cemetery, West Pittsfield.
