JOHN EDMUND MAYHEW, SR.
PALMYRA—John Edmund Mayhew, Sr., 63,died December 24, 2000 at a Pittsfield hospital.He was born September 2, 1937 at Madawaska, the son of Thomas and Bernadette (LaChance) Mayhew.He was a self-employed painting contractor until his retirement due to failing health.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Anne Mayhew of Palmyra; 3 children, John, Jr. of Pittsfield,Brent of Southwest Harbor and Lisa Goodwin of Wells; 2 brothers, Timothy of MO and Michael of Alberta, Canada; a sister, Donna May Picard of AZ; 5 grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time. Spring burial will be in the family lot, St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Madawaska. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Newport.
