OBITUARIES

JULIA G. FAIRBANKS
WELLINGTON- Julia G. Fairbanks, 76, died December 13, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born in N. Dighton, Mass., January 21, 1935, daughter of Joseph and Hilda (Bolster) Glynn.

She graduated from Reading High School class of 1952. Julia worked for Texas Instruments and later for Codex Corporation, retiring in 1991. In 1992, she was very excited to move to Maine with her husband, making their home in Wellington.

Julia enjoyed reading, watching the birds, knitting, crocheting, cooking, making puzzles, and spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Herbert L. Fairbanks of Wellington; 3 sons, Alan Fairbanks and his wife, Sharon of Wellington, Ralph Fairbanks and his wife, Cynthia Fonger of Norton, MA, David Fairbanks Sr. and his companion, Cheryl A. Jonas of Wellington; 2 brothers, Michael Glynn of Parkman, and William Glynn of Wellington; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie Fairbanks of Wellington; and special friends, Karla and Milford Rice and their son, Nick, all of Wellington.

She was predeceased by a grandson, David Fairbanks Jr.; a sister, Janice McMelville; and a brother, Alan Glynn.
