OBITUARIES

KENNETH RAYMOND THOMPSON
DEXTER- Kenneth Raymond Thompson, 69, went home to be with the Lord, January 15, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer and lung disease, with his loving wife by his side. He was born August 31, 1941, in Bangor, the son of Lawrence and Hilda (Pearl) Thompson.

He attended Dexter schools and worked for many years at Dexter Shoe Company. On August 2, 1969, Kenneth married Pamela Woodbury. He enjoyed fishing and carpentry, and was proud of the many special projects that he created. He also enjoyed listening to Elvis, Johnny Cash, and watching wrestling and old western movies.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pamela of Dexter; a son, Douglas Thompson of San Francisco, CA; a daughter, Beverly (Thompson) Porter and her husband, Robbie of Brewer; a brother, Otis Thompson and his wife, Joanne of CT; a sister and special brother-in-law, Elaine and William Woodbury of Dexter. He was a loving grandfather and will be greatly missed by his 4 grandchildren, Bryce & Lauren Porter, Noah & Claudia Thompson; and a special cat, Calem.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter, with Pastor Tim Curtis officiating. Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Mandi Foss Memorial Fund, Nokomis High School, c/o Mary Nadeau, 266 Williams Road, Newport, ME 04953.
