KERRY VINTON CROSBY Born in Lawrence, Massachsetts, the son of Spencer and Marietta Crosby, he grew up in Dexter, Maine and worked at the Dexter Shoe Factory as a boy. He graduated from Dexter High School in the class of 1961 with top honors and attended Bowdoin College, Eastern Nazarene College and West Florida University as an undergraduate student. He earned a Masters degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. An avid pilot his entire life, he served at the Pensacola Naval Air Station as a fighter pilot trainer for the Navy from 1966-1969. The majority of his career was in Human Resources Development, leading human resources for a variety of US corporations. Eventually, he become the Human Resource Director for the City of Greenville from 1993-2006. He is survived by his wife, Diane McDaniel Crosby and his children: Todd V. Crosby, Tysha D. Crosby and K. Jill Crosby; and his grandchildren: Trinity Bracken, Jacob Crosby, Jonathan Crosby and Atticus R. Cryer-Crosby. He is also survived by his older brother, Victor Crosby of Pensacola, FL. He was predeceased by his parents and his younger sister, Mary Lou. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. at the Chapel at Praise Cathedral on Friday, February 25 across the street from the church at 3390 Brushy Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29651.
