OBITUARIES

KERRY VINTON CROSBY
Kerry Vinton Crosby, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on February 19, 2011 at his home in Mauldin, S.C.

Born in Lawrence, Massachsetts, the son of Spencer and Marietta Crosby, he grew up in Dexter, Maine and worked at the Dexter Shoe Factory as a boy. He graduated from Dexter High School in the class of 1961 with top honors and attended Bowdoin College, Eastern Nazarene College and West Florida University as an undergraduate student. He earned a Masters degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. An avid pilot his entire life, he served at the Pensacola Naval Air Station as a fighter pilot trainer for the Navy from 1966-1969. The majority of his career was in Human Resources Development, leading human resources for a variety of US corporations. Eventually, he become the Human Resource Director for the City of Greenville from 1993-2006.

He is survived by his wife, Diane McDaniel Crosby and his children: Todd V. Crosby, Tysha D. Crosby and K. Jill Crosby; and his grandchildren: Trinity Bracken, Jacob Crosby, Jonathan Crosby and Atticus R. Cryer-Crosby. He is also survived by his older brother, Victor Crosby of Pensacola, FL.

He was predeceased by his parents and his younger sister, Mary Lou.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. at the Chapel at Praise Cathedral on Friday, February 25 across the street from the church at 3390 Brushy Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29651.

Memorial gifts or donations will be designated for the Home Missions Program of Praise Cathedral.
