Lewis William Leavitt
EXETER – Lewis William Leavitt, 81, died April 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1931 in Exeter, a son of James and Hazel (Doyen) Leavitt. Lewis was a lifelong resident of Exeter and had served in the U. S. Army. He farmed for most of his life but had retired from Blackwell Lumber in Corinth. He remained active and hard working in retirement helping many people.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years and 8 months, Velma (Buswell) Leavitt; a son James and wife Julie Leavitt, and their children, William and Emily, all of Exeter; as well as his loving extended family and numerous friends. A graveside committal will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, April 25th, at the Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
