LILLIAN J. CRAIG Lillian graduated as valedictorian of Ashland High School in 1939 and went on to attend Colby College. She married Cleo Craig in 1940. Lillian enjoyed careers as a substitute teacher and a licensed practical nurse for Eastern Maine Medical Center, private patients and at the Levinson Center, from where she retired. She was a faithful member of East Corinth Baptist Church, Hudson Baptist Church and Exeter Baptist Church. Lillian and her husband, Cleo, belonged to Gideons International. She was a member of Christian Woman's Association. Lillian had many interests, including quilting, gardening, cross-country skiing, and attending mountain bike races, in which her grandson, Adam, raced. She is survived by her children, Dianne Hodgkins and her partner, Norman Patterson, of East Corinth, Keith Craig and his wife, Nancy, of East Corinth, Harvey Craig of East Corinth, Steven Craig and his partner, Nancy Landry, of Dexter and Florida, Suzanne Fowler of West Covina, Calif., and Neil Craig of East Corinth; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Craig of Ashland; brothers, Munroe Robinson of Millinocket and Glynn Robinson and his wife, Jennie, of Manchester, Conn.; many nieces and nephews; daughters-in-law, Judy Wilbur Craig; and Lillian's long time friend, Virginia Elliot. In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Cleo; daughter, Eileen; and brothers, Walter Patchell, Harold Robinson, Vernon Robinson and Chester Robinson. A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Interment will be at Masardis Cemetery, Masardis, after the reception.
