LIONEL JOSEPH CHABOT
DEXTER – Lionel Joseph Chabot, 87,went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family and friends, October 8, 2002.He was born April 5, 1915 at Mont Laurier, Quebec, a son of Aurele and Mary (Laflamme) Chabot.He was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II, and worked in several areawoolen mills in Dexter.He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church, and was a 50 year member of Pouliot- Seavey Post 53, American Legion.

He was predeceased by his wife Matilda (Clukey) Chabot; and 3 brothers, Louis, Joseph, and Paul Chabot.He is survived by 3 children: a daughter, Theresa and husband Rodney Parsons of St. Albans; sons Gerard and wife Jackie Chabot of Lunenburg, MA, and Loren and wife Judy Chabot of Dexter; 4 sisters, Jeannette, Rita and Helen Clukey, and Florence Gould, all of Dexter; a brother Philip Chabot of Dexter; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, October 11th at St. Annes Catholic Church, Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Morency officiating.Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to the Maine Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104.
