LYNNE M. BLACKFORD
GREENVILLE, Lynne M. Blackford, 61, died October 12, 2006, at C. A. Dean Hospital in Greenville, after a long battle with leukemia and encephalitis. She was born in Sidney, New York, April 2, 1945, daughter of Walter and Marie Merritt. After graduating from High School, she obtained her pilot’s license and moved to Florida, where she worked in the aviation industry for over 25 years. She has been a resident of Greenville since 2001, and enjoyed her time piloting and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Blackford of Greenville, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. At her request there will be no funeral services. There will be a gathering to celebrate her life, at her home, 379 Lily Bay Road in Greenville, Sunday, October 22, 2006, at 2 PM.
