Lynwood R. "Chuck" Peasley Chuck was born July 23, 1943 in Hartland, a son of the late Harry and Myrtle (Simpson) Peasley. Chuck attended St. Albans schools, graduated from Hartland Academy in 1961, and attended Skowhegan Business School. In 1967, he married Donna J. Parker and the two were happily married for forty-six years. During that time, Chuck worked at Snowflake Canning Company in Corinna. Later, he worked at Dexter Shoe Company where he served as the general manager of the Dexter Factory Outlet Stores for thirty-eight years. He took great pride in helping the company to grow to an impressive ninety-eight stores in the 1990s. Chuck and Donna attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He was first and foremost an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outside. As such, he was particularly gifted at re-telling (“creating”) the tall tales that family and friends looked forward to hearing. His outdoor activities included snowmobiling, cross country skiing, walking, playing tennis, landscaping, spending time at the lake, boating, and bird hunting with his beloved hunting dogs. Holidays at home were always a joyous time when Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family and playing the piano. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kimberly and husband Salvatore DeLorenzo of Pepperell, MA and Tracy and husband Thomas Quimby of Bowdoinham; two grandsons, Roman and Michael DeLorenzo; three siblings and their spouses, Charles and Pat Peasley of Three Rivers, MI, Phyllis and Everett Graham of St. Albans, and Dean and Grace Peasley of Ripley; a sister-in-law, Arlene Peasley; many nieces and nephews. Chuck was predeceased by his brother, Basil Peasley. Visiting hours will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, October 30th at the First Baptist Church, Dexter, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Jay Brennan officiating. Burial will be held at St. Albans Village Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 5 Main Street Hill, P. O. Box 573, Dexter, ME 04930.
