MABEL I. CLUKEY
Mabel Clukey ST. ALBANS & CORINNA - Mabel I. Clukey, 92, died peacefully September 4, 2007 at a Skowhegan hospital with family by her bedside. Mabel was born April 6, 1915 at Eddington a daughter of David and Effie (Mayhew) Keezer. Mabel spent her early years and was educated in the towns of Eddington and Holden, where she met and married her husband, Charles Raymond Clukey on May 26, 1938. Raymond predeceased her on November 10, 2001; and a son Philip Charles Clukey predeceased her on February 1, 2002. Mabel worked for many years as a cook and housekeeper at prominent places at Sandy Point, ME, Harvard, MA, and the Blethen House in Dover-Foxcroft, but most of all she was the cook and housekeeper for her loving family. Mabel lived at Sunshine Village in Corinna before moving to Fair Haven Terrace in St. Albans. Mabel was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Corinna.

A devoted wife and mother, Mabel is survived by 5 children, Dorothy Peters and husband Glen, Maurice Clukey, Charles Clukey and wife Karen, all of St. Albans, Kenneth Clukey of Caribou, Barbara Davis Fitzpatrick of Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Leslie and wife Ann Keezer of Hermon; 3 sisters, Bertha Mutzabaugh of Glenburn, Florence Brooks of Bangor, and Jeanette Robinson of Georgia. In addition to her husband and son, Mabel was also predeceased by 5 brothers, Victor, Walter, Ernest, Albert and Roland; 3 sisters, Doris, Flora, and Eleanor.

+Graveside funeral and committal services will be held 10 AM Friday, September 7th , at the family lot, Maloon Cemetery, St. Albans. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Foundation, 80 Elm Street, Portland, ME 04101.
