MARVIN L. PEIRCE He was a graduate of Dexter Regional High School, class of 1978. At the time of his death, Marvin was employed at Dexter Shoe Co. where he had worked for 30 years. Marvin enjoyed family gatherings, camping at Jo-Mary Lake, watching the deer eating the apples from the trees in his back yard, tending his garden, baking his special beans and biscuits, and he especially liked to dance. Marvin was predeceased by his father, Carl W. Peirce, in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Peirce of Exeter; loving companion of 29 years, Sheila Neal of Exeter; special daughter and her husband, Tasha and George Swanson of Alexandria, La.; special grandson, Daniel; four siblings: sister and her husband, Marcia and Dalton Meager of Corinna, brothers and their wives, Michael and Paula Peirce of Exeter, Malcolm and Valerie Peirce of Exeter, and Mark and Gayle Peirce of Exeter; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Marvin’s life will be conducted 2-4 p.m. Dec. 18 at Exeter Consolidated School, Exeter. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Marvin’s grandson, Daniel’s 529 educational trust fund, care of the Peirce family, 1294 Avenue Road, Exeter, ME 04435.
