MARY B. BROWN
ABBOT, Mary B. Brown, 72, wife of James F. Brown died April 8, 2003, at a Dexter health care facility after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 9, 1930 in Guilford, the daughter of Sidney O. and Leta (Lewis) Buzzell. Mary graduated from the last class of Guilford High School in 1949. Mary and Jim owned and operated a small dairy farm in Abbot from 1960 to 1975. They were very active in the Abbot Church and the United Church of Christ in Monson. Mary served as organist in both churches.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years; a son and his wife, Joel and Paula Brown and their children, Jason and Adam of Abbot: a daughter and her husband, Melanie and Karl Bollenbacher and their children, Karl and Yvonne of Miller Place, New York; a brother and his wife, Arnold and Elaine Buzzell of Victoria, Texas; a sister, Lillian Ditzenbacher of Orange, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday April 14, 2003 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. A memorial service will be held at 8 PM Monday during the visitation with Pastor Ryan Henderson officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 3 PM Friday June 6, 2003 at the Abbot Village Cemetery. This will be preceded by a Memorial service at 1 PM at the United Church of Christ in Monson, with Rev. Ryan Henderson officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
