MARY C. HURD
Kalispell, Montana - Mary C. Hurd, 85, died March 21, 2008 at Edgewood Vista, an Alzheimer's facility in Kalispell, Montana. She was born on April 19, 1922 in Dexter, Maine, the daughter of Edwin C. Call and Maybelle (Haines) Call. On July 27, 1942 she married Ralph R. Hurd from Dexter. During 1955 she moved to Claremont, California with her husband and four young children. Mary lovingly gave her time and energy to her children and grandchildren at all times. After retirement, she and Ralph divided their time between Southern California and Entiat, Washington and made a final move to Montana in 1999.

Mary was predeceased by Ralph, her husband of 65 years, who died on October 30, 2007 and by one son William J. (Jeff) Hurd, in 2006. She is survived by a son, Ron and his wife Barbara Hurd of Bigfork, Montana, a son Robert (Rusty) Hurd of Entiat, Washington and a daughter, Laurel (Lolly) Hurd and Barbara Evans of Ontario, California, as well as 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her life-long best friend, Elaine (Gilbert) Getchell of Goldsboro, N.C.

At her request there will be no services. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Dexter Historical Society, in honor of Bert L. Call, her grandfather.
