MARY CARY KIMBALL
DOVER-FOXCROFT and BANGOR - Mary Cary Kimball left this world on Jan. 6, 2004. She was born May 24, 1922, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Brown) Kimball. Mary spent the majority of her life living in her family home in Dover-Foxcroft, and summering on Sebec Lake. She was a 1942 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, and a 1945 graduate of Westbrook Junior College. She worked for 40 years as the Assistant Children's Librarian at Thompson Free Library in Dover-Foxcroft. She was an active member of the Universalist Church and Lend-A-Hand Club. Mary was also a long time resident of the Phillips Strickland Home in Bangor. Mary and her family are very grateful to the wonderful staff that over the years treated her with kindness and respect. Mary was very proud of her Christmas Village that annually was on display at her residence. She enjoyed reading, doing crafts and participating in the many activities available at Phillips Strickland.

Mary is survived by her brother, Charles E. Kimball, who resides in Florida and Maine. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Claire and Lindsey Seeley of Orrington, Charlie and Pat Kimball of Hermon, Cathy and Russell Crabtree of Guilford, and Curt and Denise Kimball of Hermon. She will be missed by her many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mary was wonderful in remembering all her family and friends during the holiday season and despite her poor health this season got all her cards and gifts delivered.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Mary, which will be held on Jan. 26, 2004, at the Phillips Strickland House at 2 p.m. Spring burial will be beside her loving parents in the family lot in the Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
