MARY L. WOOD
STETSON—Mary L. Wood, 63, died unexpectedly March 2, 2003 at her residence. She was born September 30, 1939 at Rockford, Illinois the daughter of William and Mabel (Bell) Hawks. Mary spent her days tending to the needs of others, helping them to the best of her ability and being a dedicated foster mother. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of the Stetson Union Church and the Stetson Ladies Aide.

She is survived by 2 sons, Anthony and wife Patricia Lucas of Stetson and Joseph Lucas of Auburn; a daughter, Janeane and husband, Kendall Chase of Bradford; 5 grandchildren, Ryan and Chad Lucas of Portland, Jessica and her husband, Cory Verrill of Saugus, MA and Bryan and Michael Lucas of Auburn; a daughter in law, Cindy Lucas of Auburn; a special foster son, Shiloh; and special friends, Barbara and Ron Martin and Maximilian Lucas. She was a loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, March 6, at the Stetson Union Church with the Rev. David Ray, Sr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stetson Union Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 5, Stetson, ME 04488. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Newport.
