MINNIE HELEN (WELTS) BRIDGE
PARKMAN- Minnie Helen (Welts) Bridge, 102, passed away August 14, 2011, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born in Parkman, June 8, 1909, daughter of Harry Leroy Welts and Florida “Bernice” (Whitney) Welts.

Minnie graduated from Guilford High School in 1927 and from Farmington Normal School in 1929. She married Carroll Joseph Bridge on June 20, 1931. She was a dedicated school teacher for many years in the one-room schoolhouses in Parkman, in the Carroll McKusick Elementary School and the Guilford Primary School.

She is survived by a sister, Donna Wagner; a daughter, Carolyn Starbird and her husband, Irving; a daughter, Beverly Hill; a son, Paul Bridge and his fiancé, Linda McPherson; a son, Norman Bridge and his wife, Carolyn “Anne”; a son, Harry Bridge and his wife, Ellen; a daughter, Donna Colver and her husband, Richard; a special granddaughter, Deanne Starbird and her husband, Anthony Perry; 11 other grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and a special niece, Jean Durham.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial will follow at the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman.
