MYRA (BERRY) WOOD
PALMYRA – Myra B. Wood, 94, died May 15th, 2005 at a Pittsfield health care facility. She was born February 28, 1911 at Thorndike a daughter of Arthur and Grace (Prescott) Berry. She graduated from Unity High School and Farmington Normal School. Myra taught school for many years in Palmyra. She was a member of the Grange, the Extension, and the High Street Congregational Church in Newport. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1988.

Myra is survived by a son Joseph and wife Kay Wood of Palmyra; two grandchildren Jason Wood of Boston, Janet and husband Jerod Drost of Warren.

Private family visitation will be held on Wednesday and a family graveside and committal service will be held on Thursday at the family lot, East Thorndike Cemetery, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palmyra Scholarship Fund; c/o Susan Boulanger, 12 Shy Road, Palmyra, ME 04965.
