DEXTER - Myrtle C. Wentworth, 80, died May 4, 2001 at an Orono health care facility. She was born Feb. 13, 1921 at Dover-Foxcroft the daughter of James and Mildred (Gray) Finley. She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy. Myrtle was a member of the Rebekahs, the Eastern Star, the Daughters of The American Revolution, and the Mayflower Society, and enjoyed researching the family genealogy. She was a devoted and compassionate helpmate to her husband of 59 years, Galen I. Wentworth, who predeceased her February 9, 1999.

She is survived by a son Grayson of Hermon; a daughter Sandra of Dexter; one brother Roland of Dover-Foxcroft; 2 sisters, Nathalie of Farmington and Dolly of North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Shannon, Christopher, Sean and Joshua; 3 great grandchildren, Patrick, Dustin, and Mark.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, May 6th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter, with Pastor A. Maurice Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
