PAUL N. SADLER
GARLAND – Paul N. Sadler, 97, died April 10, 2009 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born July 15, 1911 in Korxu, Poland a son of Nicholas and Martha (Velah) Sadler. His Russian family emigrated to the United States when he was 1 year old. Paul graduated from Lynn (MA) English High School , Class of 1930 and was employed by Lynn Shoe Company, Rotary Machine Company, and the General Electric Company, all of Lynn, Mass. He moved to Maine in 1976 after retiring. He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter, Our Lady of the Snows Parish. When he was a teenager he learned to play the violin and throughout his life he enjoyed music, fishing, and his flower and vegetable gardens. He was predeceased by his wife Sophie in 1995, and brothers Michael and Stephen.
Paul is survived by a daughter, Martha Sadler of Garland; 2 sisters, Alice Cretecos of Bedford, Mass, and Mary Lemieux of Hartford, CT; 4 nephews and 3 nieces.
Friends may call from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 PM Wednesday, April 15th, at St. Anne’s Church, Free Street, Dexter with Father Robert Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
