OBITUARIES

PAULINE ESTHER THOMPSON
EXETER and DEXTER - Pauline Esther Thompson, 89, went to be with the Lord Feb. 19, 2005. She was born April 1, 1915, a daughter of Freeland and Belle (Leathers) Gould. She had been a resident at Dexter Health Care for the past nine years, battling Alzheimers. She was predeceased by her first husband, Quincy Smith in 1981, and her second husband, Sumner Thompson in 2005.

She is survived by five children, Eugene Smith and his wife, Margaret, of California, Richard Smith and his wife, Eunice, of Windham, Joyce and her husband, Peter Podziak, of Newport, James Smith and Toni of Sangerville, and Wayne Smith and his wife, Julie, of Dexter; a sister, Elizabeth Vickery of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren. Pauline was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter, with Pastor Buddy Gough officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.

Graveside committal services for Pauline E. Thompson, 89, who died February 19, 2005, will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter.
