PHYLLIS A. YOUNG
Corinna - Phyllis A. Young 83 died Nov. 9, 2006 at the Dexter Health Care Facility following a period of ill health. She was born in Mars Hill April 1, 1923 the daughter of William M. and Etta Currier Jones. She was educated in schools of Mars Hill and Stetson. She married Charles E. Young Oct. 30, 1941 in Newport. For many years she attended the Stetson Union Church and was the oldest member. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Literary Guild, and the American Legion Auxiliary all of Corinna. She was also a member of the Sebasticook Snowmobile Club in Newport, the Paul Bunyon RV Trail Club in Bangor, and a former member of the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Charles E. Young of Corinna, one son and his wife Charles Gene and Lucia Young of Belleville Illinois, one brother Frederick Jones of Cumberland, Me., three granddaughters, Antje, Stephanie, and Melanie, five great grandchildren, Donald, Sidney, Brooke, Nicholas, and Thomas, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers; William Jones, Glenn Jones, Gordon Jones, and Peter Jones.
