RALPH R. HURD
Kalispell, Montana - Ralph R. Hurd, 84, died October 30, 2007 at his home in Kalispell, Montana. He was born on April 28, 1923 in Ripley, Maine, the son of Roland R. and Evelyn (Allen) Hurd. On July 27, 1942 he married Mary A. Call from Dexter. In 1940 he began work as a machinist for Fay & Scott in Dexter, then General Dynamics in Pomona, California and finished his career with Southern California Edison in Etiwanda, California.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by a son, Ron and his wife Barbara Hurd of Bigfork, Montana, a son Robert (Rusty) Hurd of Entiat, Washington and a daughter, Laurel (Lolly) Hurd and Barbara Evans of Ontario, California, as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by two sisters, Beulah Gilbert of Claremont, California and Geraldine (Geddy) and husband Ben Vafiades of Harwich, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by a son, William J. (Jeff) Hurd in 2006.
