Robert F. Dow
PLYMOUTH-Robert F. Dow, 68, passed away January 25, 2012 at a Bangor hospital. He was born September 21, 1943 in Melrose, MA, a son of Harold and Irma (Kimball) Dow. He graduated from Tewksbury High, Class of 1961, where he played football, and from Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts, Class of 1963. He was a former resident of Billerica, MA for over 30 years before moving to Maine.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard. Robert drove race cars at Hudson, NH and Pines Speedway in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was past chief of the Independent Order of Vikings, Edmund Lodge #91 of Woburn, MA; a former fireman at Boston Housing; was an Eagle Scout and a Cubmaster. He had been employed as a welder, a truck driver and had owned his own cleaning business.

He is survived by his wife, Vivi-Ann Dow of Plymouth; 2 sons, Lance Dow of Billerica MA and Erik and his wife Heather Dow of Plymouth; 4 grandchildren, Aiden, Bennett, Jacob, and Anna Grace, all of Plymouth; an uncle, George Dow, Sr. of Middleton, MA; cousins, George Dow, Jr. and Peter Whitney, both of Georgetown, MA, and Daneell Bourque of Middleton, MA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Niemand.

A family memorial service will be held at the coast in the spring.
