ROBERT J. "DOLLY" DuPLESSIS
GREENVILLE - Robert J. "Dolly" DuPlessis, 73, loving husband of Cheryl L. (Foster) DuPlessis for more than 30 years, died March 17, 2002, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Old Town, the son of Abel and Priscilla (Lanouette) DuPlessis. He worked for the A&P for 30 years, after which he owned and operated Dollys Supermarket in Jackman until 1984. He moved to Stuart, Fla., in 1984, and worked for Martin County Property Appraisers, until retirement in 1999, when he relocated to Greenville. He was an avid fly fisherman and a former member of the 195th Army Band in Bangor. He will be greatly remembered for his generosity, sense of humor and love of people.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; one son and his wife, Alan R. and Anne DuPlessis; one daughter and her husband, Donna M. and Dave Maynard; two granddaughters, Brandy L. DuPlessis and Krystal E. Dorr; one brother, Abel DuPlessis Jr.; and three sisters, Lorriane Cormier, Sr. Marie Gerarda and Sr. Angelina Lirette; several nieces and nephews, and one special companion, his dog, "Maggie". He was predeceased by his father and mother, one brother, Rudolph DuPlessis; and one sister, Janet Mansur.

A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2002, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Greenville, with Fr. Ed Morin presiding. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolly's memory to: C.A. Dean Hospital, P.O.
