RONALD H. BEAN
CORINTH - Ronald H. Bean, 74, the husband of Margaret E. (Locke) Bean died unexpectedly June 20, 2002, at a Bangor hospital. He was born the son of Bernard W. and Fern Mae (Everett) Bean, Nov. 30, 1927, in Corinth. He graduated from East Corinth Academy, Class of 1946. After graduating, he owned and operated a trucking business until the early '70s, then was employed by Page Lumber Co. later to be known as Corinth Products until 1991 then driving milk and potato transport for Lyle Peirce Inc., Newport. He had threatened retirement since 1993, but somehow never could follow through and stop such an active life of employment. He was as great a neighbor and helper of anyone in need as anyone could have known, and a supporter and member of the Charleston Pentecostal Church since 1972.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend to many is survived by his wife, Margaret of Corinth; son, Rev. David Bean and wife, Phyllis; a son, Kendall Bean and wife, Carlena "Bunny"; daughter, Kathryn Hanson; and a son, Stephen Bean and wife, Guylene, all of Corinth; and son-in-law, Richard Hanson of Bradford. He is predeceased by a son, Paul in 1999. Surviving also are four sisters, Theda Cross of Bangor, Verna Hoyt of Aiken, S.C., Ardith McGraw of Corinth and Patricia Parker of Hartland. He was predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Jeanette Cross of Bangor, Nathalie Johnson of Salisbury, Md., Amber Rockwell of Corinna and Malcolm Bean of Corinth/Garland. He has nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that he enjoyed immensely and who will miss him by the same measure.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Charleston Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 202, at the Charleston Pentecostal Church, Charleston, officiated by Rev. Ronald Libby, assisted by Pastor Matt Ward.
