RUTH (ROBINSON) PRESCOTT
DEXTER - Ruth R. Prescott, 88, died Jan. 9, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Dexter, a daughter of Adrian and Louise (Hoyt) Robinson. She graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1938. She married Maynard Prescott, Sept. 1, 1940, who predeceased her. Ruth was a member of Ripley United Methodist Church and Ripley Ladies Aid. She was a life member of Wassokeag Chapter No. 44, Order of the Eastern Star, and also belonged to Star Club and Dexter Golden Age Club.

She is survived by a daughter Rebecca "Becky" Chenevert of Dexter; three grandchildren, Robert, William and Bonita Beach; one great-grandchild, Briana Beach; four stepgrandchildren, Daryl and Don Chenevert, Diane Shoemaker and Deborah Dallalis; 12 great-stepgrandchildren and one great-great-stepgrandchild.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, where an Eastern Star service will be held 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home with Pastor Lois Field officiating. Spring burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to Ripley United Methodist Church, care of Mrs. Dorothy Hutchins, 258 Lane Road, Ripley, ME 04930. Graveside committal services for Ruth Prescott, who died January 9, 2009, will be held 11 Am Monday, May 11th, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Pastor Lois Field officiating.
