SANDRA J. IRVIN
DEXTER—Sandra Jean (Dostie) Irvin, 62, went home to the Lord on July 4, 2003 at her home after a long illness. She was born January 18, 1941 at Bangor, a daughter of Joseph and Helen (Skillings) Dostie. Sandra attended school in Bangor and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Portland. She was employed by a number of Dexter area businesses, retiring from Fossa’s Variety Store. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter, serving actively as CCD Director for three years, and was a member of St. Anne’s Cursillo & Sodality; and the Poulliot-Seavey American Legion Auxiliary. She was also active in Boy Scouts during her grandson’s and 2 sons involvement.

She is survived by 2 sons Kenneth and wife, Lucille Irvin, Michael and wife, Angela Dyer, all of Ripley; a daughter Melissa Irvin and fiancé, Andrew Bandola of Dexter; a brother Kenneth Dostie, wife Gail and family of Corinna; a sister Stephanie Dakin, husband John and family of Ladylake, FL; a special loving grandson Alex Grass of Dexter; great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as special friends, Jean Giles and family, Gail Nelson, Carol Trask, Sherry Barns and Dawn Wintle. She was predeceased by her sister, Justine Millett.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M., Friday, July 11th, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter.
