SHIRLEY A. BYRD
ST. ALBANS, Shirley A. Byrd, 68, went home to be with the Lord November 20,2003 after a short battle with cancer and will be sadly missed. She was born August 7, 1935, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Roger and Lucille (Gerry) Baker. She worked for many years for Guilford of Maine in Newport. Shirley was actively involved in the First Free Baptist Church in Dexter and was involved with many ladies clubs.

She is survived by her mother Lucille Schriver of California; 2 loving daughters, Alice and her husband Greg Hathaway of Dexter, and Janiece Kearney of Long Island, New York; 4 grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler of Dexter and Alisha and Bobby of Long Island, New York; a sister, Phyllis Morgan of North Carolina; 2 aunts, Emma Conley and Mildred Gerry both of Ohio; a special friend, Dora Gardiner of Dexter.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, November 24, 2003, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St. in Dexter. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the First Free Baptist Church in Dexter with the Rev. Will Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery in St. Albans.
