OBITUARIES

STANLEY C. TENNEY
DEXTER – Stanley C. Tenney, 65, died June 12, 2011 at a Dexter health care facility. He was born January 21, 1946 in Dexter a son of David and Blanche (Tupper) Tenney. When Stan was 14 he started working at Dexter Exxon and learned to become a mechanic. He later worked at Hartley’s in Corinna as a mechanic, and later returned to the Dexter Exxon to own and operate it for 23 years.

He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, sky diving, stock car racing, scuba diving and spending time with his grandchildren Bryce, Brayden and Ameilia Greaves, and Logan Tenney.

He is survived by his wife, Rose (Leighton) Tenney of Dexter; a son, Steven of Rhode Island; son and daughter-in-law, John and Crystal Greaves of Dexter; a brother Herbert of Dexter; and sisters Caroline and husband Charlie Fish of Dexter, Carmalene and husband Vinal Shorey of Burlington. He was predeceased by his daughter Karen and brother Robert.

A graveside committal service will be held 10 A.M. Friday, June 17th at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
