STELLA V. BROWN
MONSON - Stella V. Brown, 87, loving wife of the late Bryant Brown Sr. for more than 40 years, died June 11, 2002, in Shirley. She was born Dec. 24, 1914, in Sturbridge, Mass. She was a hairdresser for many years, and was president of the Maine State Cosmetologists for many years. She enjoyed her retirement in Maine. She was an avid gardener and had a love for animals. She was a member of the Traftons Morning Coffee Club and a member of the Monson United Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bryant and Toni Brown of Monson; one daughter, Catherine DuPuy and son-in-law of California; three grandchildren, Jade Lee Brown, Aaron Scott Brown and Cory Heath Brown; three great-grandchildren, one special friend, Vivian Turner; three special pets, Della, Fella and Marcy. She was predeceased by one sister, Janette Dubeck.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2002, at McCrory Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will be in the family lot in Lake Road Cemetery, Monson. Arrangements entrusted to the care of McCrory Funeral Home, Greenville.
