VALERIE JANE NOBLE
GUILFORD and CAPE CORAL, FLA. - Valerie Jane Noble, 53, passed away on Nov. 25, 2000, in Cape Coral, Fla., where she had retired. She was born in Bay City, Mich., Oct. 10, 1947, and then moved to Guilford in 1950 with her family. She graduated from Piscataquis Community High School and Colby College. She enjoyed music and played the organ at the Guilford Methodist Church during high school. She was Worthy Matron of Rainbow Girls in Guilford and Grand Matron for the State of Maine. Valerie was an elementary school teacher for 25 years in Cumberland and Phippsburg.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Noble of Guilford; a sister, Trudy Ferden of Clare, Mich.; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Patricia Noble of Berwick; a sister and her husband, Drs. Julie and Adam Jonas of San Pedro, Calif.; dearly beloved nieces and nephews, Alessa Jonas, Lance Ferden, Stephen Noble, Suzanne Noble, and Katherine Churchill; two grandnephews, Michael Paul and Jacob Noble; and a grandniece, Elizabeth Jane Ferden. She was predeceased by her father, Paul Noble in 1994. Valerie's laughter and loving, caring ways will be remembered always by her family, friends, and many students.

Memorial services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford in the spring. Memorials may be made to the Valerie Jane Noble Scholarship Fund for P.C.H.S., Attn.: John Graf, P.C.H.S., 9 Campus Drive, Guilford, ME 04443.
