VELMA F. GALLAGHER
GARLAND—Velma F. Gallagher, 84, died February 14, 2008 at her residence. She was born March 6, 1923 in Corinth, a daughter of Earl Goodwin and Myrtie (Goss) Goodwin Tracy. She worked for the State Unemployment Office and the Levinson Center both in Bangor.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dexter and the Garland Grange since 1937.

Velma is survived by 3 sons, Thomas Wyman of Biddeford, Timothy Washburn of Garland, and Mark and wife, Durice Washburn of Corinth; a daughter, Carlena and husband, Kendall Bean of Corinth; a stepson, Phillip Washburn of CT; a stepdaughter, Joan Tilton of Bangor; a sister, Carolyn Duckart of CA; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ralph Gallagher, and a sister, Maple Bridge.

There will be no public calling hours. Spring graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland.

A graveside committal service for Velma F. Gallagher, who died February 14, 2008 will be held 1 PM Tuesday, May 20th, at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland with Pastor Arnold Schnell officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
