VERA I. MEGQUIER
MILO - Vera I. Megquier, 88, wife of Clifton A. Megquier, died Jan. 25, 2002, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born June 24, 1913, in Orneville, the daughter of Richard and Catherine (Rolfe) Hoxie. A graduate of Milo High School, she was a member of Maine State Grange (Pleiades) since 1936. A loving wife and mother, Vera welcomed all to her home to share meals and great stories. She always enjoyed playing cards and Bingo with her friends and neighbors. In later years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the country and Alaska to visit children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton of Milo; a son, Ronald E. Drew and his wife, Donna of Milo; three daughters, Janis M. Kendall of Providence, R.I., Sherrill A. Costa of Auburn, Mass., Sandra J. Clark and her husband, Kenneth of Dover-Foxcroft; a special son-in-law, Ronald Knowles of Milo; three sisters, Shirley Rhoda of Milo, Audrey Walker of Corinth, Evelyn Taylor of Dover-Foxcroft; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Philip Drew; a daughter, Donna Catherine Knowles; four brothers, Vayden, Feldon, William and Sylvanus Hoxie; two sisters, Arzelle Littlefield, Avanell Lyford.

Friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, with the Rev.
