VICTOR C. SAULMER
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Victor C. Saulmer, 72, husband of the late Gloria (Grant) Saulmer, died Jan. 20, 2002, at his residence. He was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Perley and Olive (Robbins) Saulmer. Victor had served in Korea with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Chadbourne Merrill American Legion Post No. 29. He had retired from the Public Works Department of the town of Dover-Foxcroft.

He is survived by four daughters, Vicki Chambers and her husband, Geoffrey of Dover-Foxcroft, Debra Saulmer and her special friend, Brian Caswell of Atkinson, N.H., Candy Saulmer and her special friend, Bill Dube of Jay, Tracey Tetreault of Bangor; a brother, Chester Saulmer of Dexter, 18 grandchildren, several other "special" grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Victor II and Kevin, and one grandson.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, with the Rev. David McLeish officiating. Spring interment will be in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery.
