OBITUARIES

VIOLA P. KEYTE
DEXTER – Viola P. Keyte, 74, passed away April 15, 2002 at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 2, 1927 in Dexter the daughter of Frederick and Rosa (Mountain) Clukey. She graduated form Dexter High School, Class of 1945. She was the Dexter Town Clerk for many years, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter. Viola enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William, her son Michael and his wife Robyn, daughters, Sharon Ready and husband Stephen, Susan Arsenault, Sandra Daigle and husband Rick, all of Dexter and Sally Giles and husband Sanford of Garland. She was a grammy to 11 grandchildren, Lori and Bill Keyte, Angie and Greg Haven, Leanne Wilkinson and husband Matthew, Suzanne Ready, Kristy and Sarah Arsenault, Emily, Katie and Keri Giles. She will be remembered by 2 brothers Lewis Clukey of Florida and Leonard Clukey of Bangor; a sister, Elizabeth Baker of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Lloyd Clukey, and a sister Deanna Tarr.

Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at St. Anne’s Church, Dexter with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Morency officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
