OBITUARIES

VONETTA V. BADGER
DEXTER-Vonetta V. Badger, 88, peacefully passed away April 24, 2010 after a lengthy illness at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born November 28, 1921 in East Madison, a daughter of Peter Joseph and Dolly Velma Claire (Bush) Vincent. She spent her childhood in Dexter where her father owned Vincent's IGA store. She graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. After graduating from Farmington State Teachers College as a teacher, she married Dr. Ralph Badger in 1948. Vonnie taught school at Camp Lejeune, N. C. and as a substitute teacher in Dexter.

She enjoyed traveling and visited many different countries. She is survived by 2 sons, David P. Badger of Pittsfield and Peter L. and wife Alica Badger of Tallahassee, FL; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Badger of San Diego, CA, Christopher Badger of Port Neches, TX, Jonathan Badger and Jennifer Badger both of Tallahassee, FL, and Adam Badger of Pittsfield. Vonnie had many fine friends in Dexter who truly helped her in her years of failing health.

She will be missed very much by those who knew and loved her. A private memorial service will be planned for the immediate family. For those who knew her, remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

Interment will be next to her mother in Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
