OBITUARIES

WILBERT SHANN
CORINNA – Wilbert Shann, 85, died June 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 3, 1925 in Chester, New Jersey, a son of Louis and Mary (Hollenbeck) Shann. He attended Roxbury High School in Roxbury, NJ, and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a mason contractor in New Jersey, building fireplaces, stone walls, cellars and the like. He served as assistant scout master in Chester, NJ for many years. After moving to Maine, he was a member of Corinna Post American Legion # 73; Corinna Senior Citizens, and the Corinna United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Coulson) Shann; 3 sons, Ronald Shann and his wife Rochelle, Wilbert “Gerry” Shann and his wife Charlene, Timothy Shann and his wife Anita; 6 grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Kurt, Meghan, Jennifer and Christopher; 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Kevin in 2010.
