WILLIAM F. NADEAU
DEXTER - William F. Nadeau, 85, died August 17, 2001 at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 1, 1915 at Blue River, Quebec, Canada the son of Homer and Annie (Beaulieu) Nadeau. He moved with his family to Dexter at a young age. On July 26, 1941 he married the former Katherine Pembroke. He was a car dealer, taxi owner, golf course owner, and the proprietor of an extermination company; as well as various other business ventures. He was a member of the Dexter Fish and Game Association, the Dexter Fire Department, and the Dexter Development Association. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, #4444 with St. Mary’s Parish, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by 3 daughters, Janice Prescott of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Bonnie Daggett of Dexter, and Judy Ritter of Stuart, FL; 2 sisters, Geneva Lafountain and Martha Titus, both of Dexter; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Tuesday, August 21st, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 8184, Bangor, ME 04401.
