OBITUARIES

WILMONT "BILL" GRANT
RIPLEY & BANGOR – Wilmont Grant, 88, died January 21, 2011 at a Bangor nursing home. He was born February 26, 1922 in St. Albans, a son of Merle and Lyda (Parker) Grant. Wilmont served in the Blue Devils Division, 88th Regiment, 5th Army, U. S. Army in Italy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. He worked as a machinist at Fay-Scott Landis in Dexter for 41 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Bane) Grant, and a son, Barry Grant.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda and husband George Bridgham of Bangor; 3 grand-daughters, Shannon Goodine, Tracy Lang, and Susan Busque; 3 grandsons, Mike and Chris Grant, and William Boyington; 4 great grandchildren, Meaghan and Kennedi Goodine, Juliana Busque and Alexander Boyington; and a daughter in law, Sharon Grant of Dexter.

Private burial will be in Maloon Cemetery, St. Albans. Memorial donations may be made to the Ripley United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Dorothy Hutchins, 258 Lane Road, Ripley, ME 04930. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
