··· Yard Sales ··· Friday, June 10 -12, 2011 Multi-Family Yard Sale: Friday, June 10 at 9:00am - June 12 at 5:00pm Location: 89 Pleasant Street, Dover-Foxcroft, ME We are planning a large multi family yard sale and small bake sale at my house to help raise money for the Weymouth scholarship fund that helps the Weymouth family help their children go to college and helps them pay for some of it! We are looking for people in the family to donate any items they do not use or need for this yard sale, we will be baking for the bake sale and if anyone would like to make something for that just let us know. As of right now we have a few items for it and I also do not have numbers for a lot of the family members if anyone has a few numbers for people who do not have internet or who did not get an invite for this event please email them to me or call me my number is 343-0408. Also we are willing to come to you and pick these items up so just let me know. We would like to have everything for the week before the sale so we can have it all organized and priced to go that weekend! Saturday, June 18, 2011 On Saturday June 18 , from 8am to 2pm Sabbathday Lake Grange in New Gloucester will be holding an indoor yard sale & craft fair. There will be a wide variety of crafts, cutlery, attic treasures, cooked foods & treats, plants, and more. There will also be a light lunch available consisting homemade mac & cheese, shepards pie & hot dogs. Chicken pies will also be available for $8.00 or $7.50 for two or more. Yard Sale to benefit Families And Children Together Volunteers from Families And Children Together (F.A.C.T.) will be holding a fundraising yard sale on Friday, July 23rd from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and Saturday, July 24th from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Enterprise Grange Hall in Orrington (On the corner of Center Drive and Dow Road.) Volunteers are also accepting donations for the yard sale. Items can be dropped off at the F.A.C.T. office at 304 Hancock Street, Suite 2B in Bangor. Families And Children Together serves relative caregivers, called grandfamilies, through its Maine Kids-Kin program. This unique and innovative program provides information and referrals on legal, financial and family challenges. They also provide respite and emergency funds; a resource library; clothing exchange; support groups; and family activities. Currently, there are over 11,000 Maine children who live with their relatives. All money raised at this event will support The Pay It Forward Fund. This fund assists grandfamilies in crisis. It has bought fuel for families to stay warm during the winter, kept the electricity on, paid for a babysitter when the grandparent is sick, and much more. When families receive funds they agree to pay it forward by helping someone else in need. Families might offer babysitting to another family, provide transportation to an elderly neighbor, or maybe knit hat and mittens for children. The possibilities are endless.
