Off The Beaten Path

Moxie Falls is one of the highest falls in Maine. Main drop is over 30 yards. The walk into Moxie Falls from the parking area is one of the most beautiful trails you shall encounter. It is par of the Maine's true wilderness.

The large towering Pine Tree is just breathtaking and the sounds of animals and birds flying overhead, will bring your to a place of peace and restfulness.

This is what Maine has to offer to busy people! Find the time on the weekends with Family and Friends to enjoy.

Direction to Moxie Falls:
Take Rt. 15 south from Greenville to Upper Shirley Corners. Take a right into Shirley Village, Continue straight through the Town and Follow this road (which turns to dirt) For approximately 12 miles, Turn left and go by the end of Moxie Lake, Take the first road to the right, Approximately 1 1/2 miles, turn right into a well marked Parking Area. Park and walk to the falls.

Make it a beautiful day and bring a lunch to have by the Falls. Enjoy yourself and have a Safe Hike.
